Brenna Davis is an environmental scientist, sustainable business expert and good food advocate. She is the CEO of Organically Grown Company, the nation’s leading Perpetual Purpose Trust owned company, largest independent organic food distributor and the 2024 Organic Company of the Year.
An internationally recognized sustainable business leader, Brenna has helped businesses grow their positive impact and profitability in seven different sectors and with businesses ranging from $20M to $200B in revenue. Prior to her role at Organically Grown Company, she served on the executive team at PCC Community Markets, where she was part of the team that doubled the co-op’s size. She has deep experience with public/private partnerships, including collaborating with the Obama Administration on climate and health initiatives and serving on a panel on climate justice facilitated by Vice President Al Gore. Her work has been featured on all major TV news affiliates, including on live morning television. She has contributed to three #1 international bestselling books on leadership. She was featured in Global Chorus: 365 Days of Environmental Hope along with Jane Goodall, Nelson Mandela, David Suzuki, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Stephen Hawking, Maya Angelou and the Dalai Lama.
Brenna holds a BS in Environmental Science from Western Washington University, an MS in Business Management from Antioch Seattle, and is a graduate of the University of Washington Executive Development Program at the Foster School of Business. She holds graduate certificates in Systems Thinking and Theory, Change Management and Leadership. Her passion for corporate governance led her to become a certified director through the National Association of Corporate Directors. She serves on the boards of Global Ocean Health and the Perpetual Purpose Trust Ownership Network.
Brenna is a certified coach through the Human Potential Institute, a global pioneer within the fields of coach training and human potential development founded in 2015 by Dr. Mark Atkinson (medical doctor and human potential teacher) and Dave Asprey (founder of Bulletproof and 40 Years of Zen).
She lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband and their smart, feisty and loud rescue dogs. She loves live music, vinyl records, mushroom hunting, cooking delicious sustainable food, and listening to The Clash. She has studied cross-cultural shamanism for more than a decade with Char Sundust and studies Irish Celtic shamanism with Karen Ward and John Cantwell in Dublin, Ireland. She spends her free time dreaming up ways to create a better future for all.
